Port Alfred lies on Route 72 between Port Elizabeth and East London. It is known fondly as the ‘heart of the sunshine coast’. Port Alfred has stretches of sandy beach and lies on the banks of the Kowie River. It is now an active commercial and residential town, and has retained most of it,s English fishing village feel.
